QUANTUM MACHINERY JOINS THE USA BOBSLED/SKELETON AS THE OFFICIAL SUPPLIER

Lake Placid, N.Y. (May 18, 2022) – USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) announced today a partnership with Quantum Machinery Group, the head importer and seller of Siegmund Welding Tables and Fixturing Accessories / Metalworking Equipment in the United States. USABS Technology and Equipment Lead Marc Van Den Berg wanted the Siegmund welding table and fixturing accessories for their flatness, accuracy and precision while modifying and building bobsleds, and Quantum Machinery Group came through for the team by providing the equipment.

“For every run a bobsled goes down the hill, there’s a tremendous amount of work that goes on back here in the garage,” said USA Bobsled Coach Brian Shimer. “We use tools that you can’t just pick up at the hardware store. Thanks to Quantum Machinery Group, we’re able to source their cold saw and the welding table, allowing us to build our sleds right here in our own garage.”

“This is top of the line equipment,” Van Den Berg said. “It’s a special welding table with all types of adapters and connectors, and I’m able to simulate what’s happening to a chassis while it’s on the table. I’m really happy with Quantum Machinery for helping us by providing this equipment. A table like this is really something you need if you want to modify and build your own sleds.”

Quantum Machinery Group is one of the top leading metalworking equipment suppliers in the United States, and is based out of Charlotte, N.C. The company offers an array of Metalworking Machinery Lines & Welding/Fixturing Tables and has the largest stocking facility in the United States for many products, including Siegmund. "We work with most of the nation’s largest companies and organizations, but to have the USA Bobsled Team added to our roster of clients, we couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Albert Solano, President of Quantum Machinery Group. “We are extremely honored to offer the foundational building platform, our Siegmund Welding Tables and Fixturing Accessories, which the USA Bobsled Team has chosen to produce their bobsleds on!”
